On the morning of January 21, 2019, Mr. Li Chen, Chinese Ambassador to Qatar, hosted PKU student cultural exchange delegation at the Chinese Embassy. Ambassador Li introduced the China-Qatar relationship and the cooperation between the two countries in politics, economy, trade, culture, education, and journalism, and was also briefed of the PKU China-Arab cultural exchange program.

Ambassador Li said that China and Qatar had enjoyed long-term friendship, especially since the two countries established strategic partnerships in 2014 under which cooperation in various fields has been deepened and broadened. He pointed out that exchanges and cooperation in the field of education are an important part of bilateral cooperation. He wished the project a complete success and expressed his expectation for the students to make contributions to enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between the universities and youth of both countries.
