In the morning of March 28, 2019, Dr. Abdulaziz Mohamed Al-Horr, Director of Diplomatic Institute, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, State of Qatar, who is visiting China at the invitation of the State of Qatar Chair in Middle Eastern Studies at Peking University (QCMES-PKU) during March 27-30, 2019, paid a visit to China Institute of International Studies (CIIS) and held a meeting with Mr. DONG Manyuan, Deputy Director of CIIS. The two sides exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern and discussed ways to strengthen the ties between the two institutions.

Dr. WU Bingbing, Chair Professor of QCMES-PKU, Deputy Director of Department of Arabic Language and Culture, SFL-Peking University, and Dr. Jaafar Karar, representative of Qatar Embassy to Beijing also attended the meeting.
