From April 13th to 15th, 2019, the team of Country and Region Studies Program (CRSP), School of Foreign Languages, Peking University, paid an academic visit to Egypt.

The team was led by Professor Wu Jiewei, the deputy dean of the school, including Professor Wang Hao, Assistant Professor Shi Yue, Ph.D. candidates Zheng Youyang and Li Ruiheng, Dr. WU Bingbing, Deputy Director of Department of Arabic Language and Culture, SFL-PKU, Chair Professor of the State of Qatar Chair in Middle Eastern Studies at PKU participated was on the team and participated in all activities.

During the period, the team visited American University in Cairo, Cairo University, Middle East Branch of Xinhua News Agency and the TEDA Suez Economic Cooperation Zone, conducting in-depth field research over how to strengthen inter-agency academic cooperation and deepen country and region studies.
