From April 17th to 20th, 2019, the team of Country and Region Studies Program (CRSP), School of Foreign Languages, Peking University, paid an academic visit to Qatar.

and Mr. Cesar Wazen Director of International Affairs Office, QU

The team was led by Professor Wu Jiewei, the deputy dean of the school, including Professor Wang Hao, Assistant Professor Shi Yue, Ph.D. candidates Zheng Youyang and Li Ruiheng, Dr. WU Bingbing, Deputy Director of Department of Arabic Language and Culture, SFL-PKU, Chair Professor of the State of Qatar Chair in Middle Eastern Studies at PKU participated was on the team and participated in all activities.

Visit to Georgen Town University in Qatar

During the visit, the team visited Qatar University, George Town University in Qatar, Huawei Doha Office, and met with H.E. Li Chen Chinese Ambassador to Qatar, conducting in-depth field research over how to deepen country and region studies and strengthen exchange and collaboration between institutes.
