On August 19, 2019, Peking University "Into Middle East" Delegation led by Dr. Fu Zhiming (Deputy Dean, School of Foreign Languages, Peking University; The Sultan Qaboos Chair Professor in Arabic Studies; Director of Middle East Studies Center) and Dr. Wu Bingbing (Deputy Director of Department of Arabic Language and Culture, SFL-PKU, Chair Professor of the State of Qatar Chair in Middle Eastern Studies at Peking University) visited Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) and had a talk with Prof. Veniamin Popov, Director of the Center for Partnership of Civilizations in MGIMO University.

Prof. Popov gave an introduction of MGIMO to the delegation and then made comments on the Russian Middle East strategy and the new balance between big powers in the international sphere. During the discussion, Prof. Popov also answered questions raised by the delegation.
