Penn State Professor Flynt Leverett Visited Peking University

 

On September 2nd, 2019, Prof. Flynt L. Leverett, Former Senior Director for Middle East Affairs at the National Security Council, Professor of International Affairs and Asian Studies, School of International Affairs, the Pennsylvania State University paid a visit to Peking University, and met with Prof. FU Zhiming, Deputy Dean, School of Foreign Languages.

 

 

Prof. Flynt has visited China at the invitation of the State of Qatar Chair in Middle Eastern Studies at Peking University (QCMES-PKU). During the visit, he held discussions with Amb. Wu Sike, Former China's Special Envoy on the Middle East Issues, and Dr. LI Guofu, Senior Researcher at China Institute of International Studies (CIIS), as well as representatives of World Affairs Press, on strengthen the academic collaboration between institutions from both sides, and exchanged ideas on the issues of common concern.

 

Dr. Wu Bingbing, Deputy Director of Department of Arabic Language and Culture, SFL-PKU, Chair Professor of QCMES-PKU attended the meetings.
