The 6th Meeting of the Oversight Committee of State of Qatar Chair in Middle Eastern Studies at Peking University (QCMES-PKU) was held successfully in Qatar University (QU) on September 16th, 2019.

Prof. Tian Gang, member of the Oversight Committee, Vice President of Peking University, Dr. Hani Findakly, member of the Oversigtht Committee, Member of the PKU International Advisory Board, Dr. Darwish Al-Emadi, member of the Oversight Committee, Chief Strategy and Development Officer of QU, Dr. Khaled Al-Khater, Vice President for Administration & Finance of QU, and Dr. Wu Bingbing, Chair Professor, Deputy director of Department of Arabic Language and Culture, SFL-PKU attended the meeting.

Dr. Omar Al-Ansari, Vice President for Academic Affairs of QU, Mr. Cesar Wazen Director of International Affairs Office of QU, Prof. Fu Zhiming, Deputy Dean of School of Foreign Languages, PKU, Dr. Gu Xue, Assistant Director of Office of International Relations, PKU, Prof, Zheng Zhijie from School of Public Health, PKU, Ms. Li Donglin from Beijing International Mathematical Research Center, and Ms. Yang Yang from Office of International Relations, PKU also attended the meeting.

In the evening of September 15th, the PKU delegation attended the Mid-Autumn Festival Reception held by the Chinese Embassy in Doha, and met with H.E. Zhou Jian, Chinese Ambassador to Qatar and Mr. Zhou Qiao, Counselor of Political Affairs at the Chinese Embassy.
