On Apr.3rd, 2020, Peking University's Seminar on "Counter COVID-19 Documents Arabic Version” was held in the new building of School of Foreign Languages, PKU.

Wang Bo, Vice President of PKU, Xia Hongwei, Director of the Office of International Relations, Zhang Lin, Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Committee, Ning Qi, Dean of School of Foreign Languages, Fu Zhiming, Vice Dean of SFL, Song Yang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of SFL, Lin Fengmin, Director of the Department of Arabic Language and Culture, SFL, and Wu Bingbing, Chair Professor of the State of Qatar Chair in Middle Eastern Studies at PKU (QCMES-PKU) , attended the meeting.

The project, organized by the School of Foreign Languages，participated by QCMES-PKU, has completed the translation and compiling of the Arabic version of the Prevention and Control Plan, and Diagnosis and Treatment Plan of COVID-19 released by the National Health Commission, and is working on the official release of the Arabic Version in the near future. For the next step, the project will continue to translate other authoritative documents on COVID-19 into Arabic, aiming to share China’s counter-epidemic experience with Arab countries and the Arab people.
